With views across sweeping manicured lawns all the way to the Minster, The Garden Room is a beautiful setting for afternoon tea. We source our tea from the Rare Tea Company, who supply the world’s best tea direct from farmers and their tea gardens. Known as the Tea-Lady, consultant Henrietta Lovell has handpicked a selection of fine teas to accompany our menu.
Head Pastry Chef Brian Roberts creates all of the beautiful cakes and pastries for The Garden Room, while Executive Chef Rhys Jackson oversees the sandwiches and the savoury course. With a passion for local, seasonal ingredients, together they prepare hundreds of afternoon teas every week.
Our Twilight Tea is a great alternative to our traditional afternoon tea – featuring finger sandwiches, home-made scones, dainty cakes and a Bramble cocktail or Virgin Blueberry Mojito.
